Alright boys and girls!  Let’s see who really wants to show their stuff!  Give me the best reading response yet!

April Week 3

April 25, 2012

Students,

I have been enjoying the blog writing you have been doing this month!  It is obvious to me that you are very near ready for grade 6.  Please continue to do the same this week.  I can’t wait to read your responses! I even posted a picture of how I look when I receive one of your responses!

April 2012, Week 2

April 11, 2012

Vacation is a week away.  Let’s make this post a good one since you have the week off next week!

April Responses: Week 1

April 1, 2012

It’s been a few months since we have done some online responses. I bet you are ready to show what you’ve learned in the past few months! Remember that you only need to post ONCE before Friday, but the more you tell about what you’ve read with connections, the better your score will be! Have fun.

Can you believe that January is already over?  I am so excited to read about how all of your stories have ended.  Let me know about the end of your books.  Don’t forget to make those connections, share those personal thoughts, and let me know if you liked or disliked the book.  Would you recommend this book to someone else?

Week 3 Time!

January 25, 2012

How did you do last week on your reading response?  How can you improve this week?  Can you add some of the skills we’re doing for our burrito books in this response (figurative language, setting skills, predictions, interesting words)?  Do your best!

January Responses – Week 2

January 18, 2012

This week I want you to continue doing what you have been doing but I also want you to try something new.  I want you do try to focus on a problem in your story and write about that problem.  I then want you to tell me what you would do in the character’s situation and how you would deal with the problem.

GOOD LUCK!

January Responses – Week 1

January 11, 2012

Students,

It’s time to get back into our routine!  Please make a good reading response to start off 2012 the right way!  Remember….connections, connections, connections!

Alright students, this is the last reading response of the month!  Remember how Cassidy shared her with all of you last Friday and how I complimented her on making multiple connections?  That’s what I want from all of you this week.

Also, remember that these are due on Thursday this week, not Friday!

Reading Response for Week 2

December 12, 2011

You can now post your reading response for week 2.  You can post on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  Before posting, think about how you can improve your grade from last week. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again MAKE CONNECTIONS!
